We are aware that we have to rethink if we want to protect our environment. As a travel industry, we have a special responsibility, as tourism is a major factor in environmental impact. But sustainable travel is possible!

To support sustainable travel, we offer all train travelers a special benefit: a 10% discount on the booked room rate. We are also pleased to offer an e-charging station for electric vehicles at the hotel. In summer, guests can charge their e-bikes free of charge in the garden café (please bring your own charging cable). These offers are part of our efforts to support environmentally friendly and sustainable travel.

We are actively committed to protecting our resources and are proud to be part of the Green Destination Wagrain-Kleinarl. The entire region is working on this project and we are also working hard to achieve certification. We offer everything sustainable from the arrival to your stay to hikes and excursions to allow you to travel without a guilty conscience. Through the use of e-mobility and renewable energy, we are helping to reduce our environmental impact.

For us, sustainability means meeting the needs of the present in a way that does not limit the opportunities of future generations. We want you to enjoy your stay with us without harming the environment. We pride ourselves on providing an environment that prioritizes sustainability and resource conservation.

Ecology

We place great emphasis on environmental awareness and have made it our goal to minimize our ecological footprint. Therefore, we prefer regional products and work in a resource-saving way. We also pay attention to waste reduction and saving plastic, for example by using aerators in the bathrooms and energy-saving LED light bulbs throughout the hotel.

Economics

We attach great importance to sustainability and environmental protection and have therefore decided to offer a served menu instead of a buffet to avoid excessive food waste. We also chose a discreet option for the lighting, saving energy and money at the same time. We use a dry steam cleaner to protect the health of our employees and reduce the environmental impact of chemical wastewater.

In summer we have our own herb garden and in winter we grow our own cress to use fresh ingredients for your menu. Our olive oil comes from Italy and is delivered only once a year to minimize transportation and environmental impact.

We place great emphasis on supporting local artists and artisans to preserve tradition and create a unique experience for you. We work closely with local companies such as carpenters, electricians and carpenters to provide you with high quality equipment. We also take care to pay fair wages to our employees and comply with all legal regulations.
